Relationship between the Constitution and other laws

The topic on Thetha FM today will be focussing on the RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE CONSTITUTION AND OTHER LAWS.  This will assist the listeners to understand the powers of the Constitution.

The Constitution is the law passed by Parliament and it is the highest law in the country.  All other laws must follow it.  Other laws are divided into statutes.  Common law and customary law.

I so wish it also considers xenophobia which is of high rate.  What does the Constitution say about it.

The preamble to the Constitution says "We the people believe that South Africa belongs to all who live in it, united in our diversity" so the Constitution is against xenophobia.  But the Constitution also says people have the right to education, health care, electricity, water and so on but they still don't have it so it is basically a meaningless document unless you have a mass movement to enforce the rights enshrined in the Constitution because it is clear the government is not going to.

I support that statement because if you take a wild look at the big fishes who claim they are enforcing the Constitution to all who have also turned their backs on it.  We the social movements, NGOs etc are the ones coming with campaigns to enforce the very same colonial document so called constitution for democracy and what do they do.  They take a back seat and relax and say "We are on nation and we need each other to overcome the big fishes.

Until enemy erases Black and White mentality and believe in humanity any one who does not believe in it is humanity enemy then is our enemy and everyone then is our enemy and everyone who took our forefathers' land without compensation lastly demanding it is we as Blacks we rightfull owners of Africa that not xenophobia is thruth Africans no to xenophobia anyone who falls from Cape to Cairo, Morrocco to Madagasca and believe in humanity is African.

Constitution should address land issue that only is that I felt we need more focus on it united.

I feel as if this colonised document was made to keep our resources and means of production in the hands of the capatalist state whereby we cannot by any means adhere to.

That is a brilliant topic.

I think people need to know who other laws interact with the Constitution.

That's very great comrade Bricks!!
